pandalicious's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It's just a wig! I know. I left out a lot of stuff. I haven't been good at this diary thing of late. My dad is fine right now. His surgery went well and he recovered almost instantly. Unfortunately, that was only the beginning. He's scheduled for another, more complex surgery on the 8th. Then recovery, then radiation. For now it's waiting around. And I'm in NJ. Matt and I have been getting things together for the garage sale. We actually decided last Thursday at the last minute to participate in this flea market in a church parking lot. We had everything still priced from the last sale, this spring. So it wasn't much extra work, except for pricing the stuff we just separated from more boxes in da garage. I am so glad we went! Even though we only made about $90 net, we met ourselves a really great new friend! Her name is Monica and we found out we have so many things in common. Like she's a graphic designer and her husband is a musician who's been dreaming of starting his own recording studio. So it's cool. We had a blast. It was hot and the money wasn't exactly flowing, but we still had a good old time. The two best overheard quotes of the day: 6 year old to his 13 year old brother, who was trying on my bright red wig: "You look like a ROCK AND ROLL MANIAC!!" 8 year old girl to her 4 year old sister upon approaching our remaining plain old brown wig: "It's NOT a HEAD, it's just a WIG!" We're still having our own private yard sale this weekend, so hopefully we will make a few more DOLORES and then it's all going to Goodwill. That's all for now.
